Are you a medical misfit? -Have you been to numerous doctors, tried dozens of drugs, supplements, and therapies for fibromyalgia, and still suffering? Because you have an illness that’s hard to “prove,” loved ones, even doctors may label you as lazy, crazy, or depressed. You may be told – “it’s all in your head.” You may be urged to exercise or lose weight, or take anti-depressants (you’re just depressed) or see a psychiatrist.
Physicians if they believe the conditions exist at all-and many don’t-attempt to mask the symptoms with one prescription drug after another. Patients often end up on a medical merry-go-round, seeing one doctor after another-taking an endless concoction of Life Draining, potentially dangerous drugs (remember Vioxx).
Drugs to put you to sleep, drugs to wake you up, pain pills, mood drugs (for the side effects of the sleep drugs), muscle relaxants, sedatives (to calm you from the uppers), drugs for IBS, reflux, RLS, ADD, it just never ends. And each new drug creates additional side effect symptoms that then must be medicated with additional drugs…
Patients end up more confused and disoriented than ever, often concluding, “Maybe I am crazy, after all.”
Two Words. I understand. For most of the world, it’s a common little phrase. But for people who have fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome (or both), it’s amazingly powerful, not to mention rare.
I understand what you’re going through. I really do. I understand because I’ve been specializing in treating and beating fibromyalgia for the last 14 years. You see this is my life work, helping the medical misfits with fibromyalgia that no one else wants to help. Sorry but it’s true. Most doctors I talk to don’t believe there is a thing called fibromyalgia.
They don’t think fibromyalgia exists because they don’t know what to recommend, everything they try fails- drug after drug. So they do what we doctors always do when we can’t help they refer you to one doctor after another.
You can Feel Better! Certain drugs actually make fibromyalgia symptoms worse. Knowing which ones to take and which ones not to take can make a huge difference. Most doctors don’t know this information- they are happy to rely on the marketing propaganda from drug companies and their sales reps that vie for the doctors attention by supplying endless amounts of cash, gifts, dinners, and trips.
I know how this works first hand. At my medical practice drug reps showed up in mass each day with lunch, theatre tickets, invitations for dinner, even cold hard cash ($250-$400, paid for attending “educational dinners” at 4 star restaurants). They knew down to the last pill which and how many prescriptions we’d written in the last month. They did everything they could to badger us into prescribing their latest greatest drug.
I’ve successfully treated thousands of patient’s over the last 13 years. I was the owner and clinical director for an integrative medical practice, which used a combination of prescription and nutritional therapies to successfully treat FMS and CFS. I was able to witness first hand the positive and negative aspects of drug therapy.
We used every drug we could find to beat fibromyalgia-Ambien, Elavil, Klonopin, Cymbalta, SSRI antidepressants, Effexor, Lunesta, Mirapex, Pain pills, Neurontin, Lyrica, and dozens of others, all failed to provide lasting relief from the symptoms of fibromyalgia. And what’s worse, most of the drugs had side effects that made the fibromyalgia symptoms even worse.
I’ve researched and implemented numerous therapies over the years. Keeping what works, discarding what doesn’t. For the last 8 years I’ve been using specially developed nutritional protocols known as The Fibromyalgia Jump Start Program.
My Fibromyalgia Jump Start Program often yields rapid results (with-in days) without drug therapy. Irritable bowel syndrome, a common condition associated with FMS, is typically corrected within 2-4 weeks of starting my program.
Deep restorative sleep, the key to getting well, is often achieved in a matter of a few days-without drugs.
I know you’ve visited numerous doctors, taken an assortment of prescription drugs, fad supplements, one a day vitamins, and the latest multilevel herbal remedy, promised to cure everything from warts to aids. None of them made a difference. No relief, no change, just more money down the drain. Meanwhile you continue to feel worse each month as your life falls apart. I read these ads in magazines about magical remedies for fibromyalgia. I wish they were true but it just doesn’t work that way.
Listen there’s no magic pill, massage therapy, acupuncture, detox program, colon cleanse, Candida treatment, parasite remedy, chiropractic adjustment, or drug that will beat fibromyalgia. If there were, I wouldn’t be writing this article- you’d be well.
I know you often feel frustrated and maybe even doomed to a life of despair after seeing you local rheumatologist who- makes you wait 3 months to be seen, then spend1-2 hours in his/her waiting room, and they spend 10 minutes with you and then tell you to try another mind numbing drug and return in 3 months? I understand.
For the last several years I’ve successfully treated thousands of patients with high doses of certain vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other nutrients. This approach is referred to as orthomolecular medicine. It’s based solely on biochemistry, using the right chemicals inherently natural to the body for optimal function. This approach is the cornerstone of my successful Fibromyalgia Jump Start Program.
In short, by using the natural building blocks or nutrients which make-up the person’s normal biochemistry, you can correct or drastically improve, even reverse the cause of the disease.
Nutrients including vitamins, minerals and amino acids are what make the hormones that regulate your body. Every essential chemical in the body, including thyroid hormone, testosterone, estrogen, neurotransmitters (serotonin, norepinephrine, etc.), antibodies, adrenaline, cortisol, and white blood cells, are made from vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids, and amino acids.
Nutritional deficiencies are common among FMS and CFS patients. I’ve found that high- dose orthomolecular medicine can consistently correct these deficiencies. Once corrected, a person becomes healthier and healthier until their FMS or CFS is either gone or greatly improved.
Clearly the program that corrects the cause of fibromyalgia is superior to one that only attempts to cover up the symptoms. Why continue to mop the kitchen floor after the rain- storm, when you could simply fix the leaky roof? The drug companies don’t want you to correct the leaky roof, they’re happy to keep selling floor cleaner, mops, and buckets for the rest of your life. And the rheumatologist is happy to have a waiting list of patients he/she can’t help but who continue to come back month after month to try more and more worthless drugs.
It’s time to start a new direction. One based on correcting the cause of fibromyalgia not on covering up the endless number of symptoms that continue to get worse year after year.
